Charles Frederick Rogers (born December 30, 1921; disappeared June 23, 1965) was an American seismologist, pilot, and murder suspect who vanished after police discovered the dismembered bodies of his elderly parents inside the refrigerator of their Houston home. The gruesome crime became known in the media as the “Ice Box Murders.” Rogers was never located and was declared legally dead in absentia in July 1975. He remains the sole suspect in the killings, which are still classified as an open case by the Houston Police Department.

Gary Lynn “Pat” Patterson (September 24, 1963) was a 33-year-old man who went missing on May 3, 1997, after traveling from Waco to El Paso for a job interview. Investigators found his body, severely beaten and buried alive, nearly a year later in the desert.

Dean Arnold Corll (December 24, 1939 – August 8, 1973), also known as The Candy Man, was a serial killer who abducted, raped, tortured and murdered at least 27 teenage boys and young men between 1970 and 1973 in Houston and Pasadena, Texas. He was aided by two teenaged accomplices, David Owen Brooks and Elmer Wayne Henley.

Nydia Lopez-Garcia, a 37-year-old single mother from Mesquite, Texas, had traveled to Las Vegas and was murdered in a hotel room on the Las Vegas Strip. The children - aged 17, 14, and 7 - were with their mother in Las Vegas and now find themselves stuck there, without any family or means to return home.
